I just met a girl named Maria

Maria is a friend from my Mormon Singles Ward.  She is always finding ways to serve other people, expressing her testimony of Jesus Christ, AND making us all laugh.  One specific thing I appreciate about Maria is that she is very aware of job opportunities and uses our ward Facebook page to post them for anyone who might be interested or looking.  Way to bear one another’s burdens (of unemployment).  Love you, sweet girl.

PS.  Plus she got to meet Elder Holland.  Lucky duck!

My blog has many part-time jobs…

ImagePart-time journal, part-time missionary, part-time teacher, part-time money-maker (although I’m looking into getting a few more hours there, know what I mean?), part-time musician, part-time keeper (in touch with family and friends), part-time therapy, et cetera….. but full-time AWESOME!

It’s a Jill of all Trades.  Just like me 🙂

Hang out with your family, work at your job, go to church, paint your toenails, and live your own life…but when it comes to this blog

In the past year there were times when I was a part-time Mormon

but now I’m back to full-time.

PS.  Please don’t read this as self-righteousness.  And please also don’t misunderstand my metaphor.  Members of the LDS church are not paid.  Just thought I’d clear that up…

There are worse things to have take over your life….

than a blog.  Especially when you’re not married, don’t have kids, and are not fully employed (but I got a job yesterday!  will write about it soon).  And this blog is actually helping me make connections and also is allowing me to encourage others to awaken their dormant talents as well!  So any haters out there in cyber-space who think I’m a little TOO blog happy, here’s what I have to say:

Coulda been the other version, huh? 🙂

This blog is taking off, but I’m not gonna quit my day job…

especially since I don’t exactly have one.  Don’t worry, though!  Have a second interview tomorrow, and it’s looking good.  Keep me in your prayers please 🙂
