The single most fundamental tenet of Mormonism…

is NOT that Joseph had a vision, that the heavens are open, that families can be together for eternity, that there are prophets and apostles on earth today, that Jesus Christ performed the Atonement, that modern revelation is real, that the Book of Mormon is scripture comparable to the Bible, or that the Church/gospel has been restored in its fullness.

The single most core belief of the LDS faith is…

God Exists.

Self-MASTERY

Masturbation is a topic that is highly sensitive, uncomfortable, and potentially embarrassing/ awkward.  Those things notwithstanding, I feel strongly enough about it that I created a short video to express my thoughts on the matter.  And let me reassure you that it is mature, tactful, and even appropriately and gently witty!

President Henry B. Eyring, or any of the LDS General Authorities, will never view this post.  But Justin Biebz and Jaden Smith remind me to “Never Say Never!”  So readers please know that if any apostle/ prophet/ Stake President/ Bishop/ employer/ long-lost cousin/WHOMEVER (!) ever did stumble (thanks Natasha B!) upon this video , I would not be uncomfortable.  In other words, IT’S CLEAN, YA’LL!  Check it stat:

and just a brief explanation of my outfit…

Recapture:

I don’t like this subject.

I am not a yucky girl.

I believe in agency.

I am fully aware that some will disagree with me.

I never intend to be preachy or judgmental.

But most importantly:

I strongly express that, whatever your religious beliefs/ life philosophies,

avoiding this type of behavior will bless your life!

Here is a landmark talk by Elder Boyd K. Packer on the matter:

(as it’s title explicates, the address was given for young men only,

but I feel comfortable including it since it is available on LDS.org)

I love how President Packer is not obscene,

but is still very direct and doesn’t hold back

To conclude this post, I wish to bear testimony that,

no matter your age, gender, religion, or beliefs

you will be happier if you keep your mind

and body free of this activity!

But people who trash talk the Church? Ya’ll got your right to free speech of course, but guess what…

WE AIN’T GOING ANYWHERE!

Go start your own Church and see how far you get. Maybe you’ll get 100 Facebook followers in a week if you strategize real well and give out free candy 🙂 If I were you I’d choose the winning team, huh?

KATH DON’T CARE what Simon Says…

Truths to Consider:

1)  WE ARE ALL ARTISTS! (here’s Prezident Uchtdorf’s take on this…)

2)  We ain’t all gonna make it big (and that’s okay, ya’ll!)

3)  Stem of Jesse (Jessica!) in the scriptures

4)  What insight “The Merchant of Venice” taught me about the HBO filth series “Girls”

5)  My take on “The Great Gatsby” in 3 sentences.

6)  Haven’t yet written about Mark Twain’s  ever famous and influential piece (Huck Finn).  Stay.  Tuned.

7)  What Amanda Bynes (indirectly) taught me about Mormon temples.

8)  “American Idol” certainly has produced some talent, but overall is waaaaay over-rated.

9)  Hozaboutcha take an exodus from this blog and go read about what Moses says about idols? (here!)

10)  Katherine loves wordplay.  And admit it, she’s pretty darn awesome at it, huh? 🙂

The answer, my friend…

~Bob Dylan

Dear friends,

Although I love Bobby (he was named after the British poet Dylan Thomas!), I proclaim that the answers to life’s questions are in actuality NOT blowing in the wind; they instead come from righteous men and women who are inspired of God!  I invite you to watch the next session or two of LDS General Conference.  Click here para más información.

Hope you take me up on that offer.  But if not, I guess we can still be friends…

A new perspective on Martin Luther

Screen shot 2013-09-22 at 12.52.54 AM

In his day, German theologian and philosopher Martin Luther was considered a heretic and a blasphemer.  His ninety-five theses famously nailed to the door of the Wittenburg Church expressed his strong criticisms of the omnipotent Catholic Church, from which Luther eventually broke away.  Luther was further considered even more rebellious when he refused to retract his views, after which he was excommunicated from the Church.

Screen shot 2013-09-22 at 12.49.53 AM

More recently, however, the world has come to think of Luther quite differently.  Obviously, faithful Lutherans thank their founder for the work he did.  One prominent example of a practicing Lutheran was famous American Civil Rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr., whose parents revered the theologian so much that they named their son after him.

Screen shot 2013-09-22 at 12.51.28 AM

But it isn’t just members of that specific sect of Christianity who are grateful.  Indeed, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also pay tribute to Luther and other participants in the Reformation.  Church leader Dieter Uchtdorf paid homage to Luther in his May General Conference 2008 address “Faith of Our Fathers,” in which he even revealed that he was a distant descendant of Luther.

Screen shot 2013-09-22 at 1.02.48 AM

One of Luther’s most famous doctrine was justification by faith alone.  This differed from the Catholic belief, which was that ordinances, or sacraments, were necessary for salvation.  Although Latter-day Saints revere Luther and view him as a crucial member of the Reformation, their doctrine of salvation is not exactly the same as his was; Mormons believe that faith is absolutely necessary for salvation, but they also believe in saving ordinances, such as baptism and temple rites, as a way to demonstrate that faith.  In this specific way, Mormonism is somewhat of a stepping-stone between Lutheranism and Catholicism.

Screen shot 2013-09-22 at 1.00.09 AM

There have been two major films made about Martin Luther.  The first is the 1953 film Martin Luther, which stars Niall MacGinnis and was nominated for two Academy Awards.  The second version is the 2003 MGM film Luther  starring Joseph Fiennes (I highly recommend watching this!), which helps to emphasize the importance of Luther’s translation of the Bible from Latin to German.  Though the Pope and other Catholic leaders considered this controversial and dangerous at the time, eventually, this led to the influence of other translations of sacred text into languages that the common people could read.  This film also shows that Luther observed and hated how Johann Tetzel would sell indulgences, which meant that people could “buy” salvation for deceased loved ones.  Although the Catholic Church as a whole denounces Luther, as evident by his excommunication, many individual members throughout the years and especially today thank Luther for what he has done in helping to expose the problem of the sale of indulgences.   Also, the fact that these films was made at all, in the 20st  and 21st centuries as well, shows that even today, even in America, and even in Hollywood, Luther is still important, still remembered, and still somewhat relevant.

Screen shot 2013-09-22 at 12.55.52 AM

Though Catholic extremists of the day may have once hoped that Martin Luther and his rioutous views would fade away into oblivion, Luther’s influence has lasted long beyond his day.  Not only have Luther’s religious views affected us, his music has stayed with us, too.  Luther’s most famous piece to which he wrote the text, “A Mighty Fortress is Our God” is part of the Latter-day Saint hymnbook today.

Screen shot 2013-09-22 at 11.15.48 PM

Overall, Martin Luther has made quite a turn-around from how he was formerly viewed and understood. Once regarded as a blasphemer and a disturber of religious peace, Luther is now considered one who brought much needed attention to the corruption and problems in the Catholic Church,  founded a major Protestant denomination, and, as understood by Latter-day Saints, was a key participant in the eventual bringing about of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

[The] Reformation resulted in an increased emphasis on religious freedom,

which opened the way for the final Restoration.”

“No Promises”

Image  Image  Image

is a phrase that I have found to be quite useful as I navigate this journey of life.  I am certainly not suggesting that we avoid making any promises, but only that we make sure we don’t get people’s hopes up when we cannot back up our commitments with 100% surety (myth vs. experience).  Additionally, we needn’t “run faster than [we] have strength” (Mosiah 4:27) in trying to keep promises we perhaps should not have made in the first place.  Now, don’t be calling me lazy!  As I have said before, I desire to serve others, get out of my comfort zone, and work hard.  Still though, I cannot do it all.  Neither can you. Neither can any one person (and that’s okay, ya’ll!)  So we must decide what kinds of things are worth the word “promise” (or at least the level of commitment that it implies).  But when we do make those promises, let’s make them count!

line of propriety, line of propriety, line of propriety, line of propriety,

“I never make a promise I don’t intend to keep.”

John-Michael-Montgomery-270x300

~John Michael Montgomery

READERS:

1)  What promises have you made (or will make) that are important to keep (family, covenants, relationships, employment, etc.)?

2)  What are some aspects of your life about which you should probably not make promises?

Image

And now, one final question:

Is this blog the best thing in the world?

Would you rather your kids hear about sex from YOU (presumably a responsible adult), or from some punk scoundrels in a locker room that smells like spoiled cottage cheese?!

Screen shot 2013-08-22 at 3.44.18 PM

(trick question, kinda…)

Seriously though.  Yah, it can be totez awkward.  But avoiding it is worse.    And let me tell you, there is NO LIMIT to the dirty little secrets/ videos/ “tips” these days with the technology that is rampantly available.  And without your help, your kids will find them, and maybe even use them in a way that can and will hurt themselves, and others, not to mention breaking your heart in the process.  So it’s time for you (and all of us) to Be a (Wo)Man!  And talk about S-E-X.

Read text here:

“Mothers, teach your daughters the importance of the temple…

This means talking to [them] about sexual matters.”

And, yes the talk is for women.  Yes it’s from a man.  But if you are thinking there’s some misogynistic thing going here, you are dead wrong.

These principles are gender neutral.

Maybe you are too

Also, I bolded the part about sex.  That was a little weird.

(call to action, Katherine.  Kaction!)

So hop to it!

Off this computer right now.

Go have the sexy talk (if your kids are old enough, of course).

Say a little prayer first to help you not be nervous or weirded out

and also to say the right thing(s)

And wear something modest please 🙂

Screen shot 2013-09-16 at 9.35.20 AM

PS.  I still don’t love the memories of the birds and the bees talk with my parents.

Screen shot 2013-08-22 at 3.38.11 PM

T-Swizzle’s SNL alter-ego doesn’t either

(it’s clean enough for Taylor to do it, for Katherine to include it on this blog, and also to appear on the same post as Elder Ballard in case you are wondering..):

(sorry the quality is not that great)

PPS.  I am NOT anxiously awaiting that talk with my own children (or nieces/nephews/young women).  But not totally dreading it anymore either….

Protecting the image of the LDS Church…

Screen shot 2013-08-22 at 1.46.18 AM

is one of the things I take into consideration when writing this blessed blog.  It is certainly not the only thing (duh!), and it’s also not necessarily the most important thing either.  But it still clearly holds clout in the court of Kat’s mind.  It is a priority.  A major one, too.  And it’s not that I’m afraid of being called in to my Stake President for chastisement when I occasionally employ a pseudo-swear or playfully tease my viewers with the exposure of a juicy shoulder.  Not even close (I do not fear excommunication or any other lesser form of Church discipline).  It’s just that I have many different identities.  One of them is Mormon.  One of them is disciple of Jesus Christ.  Those things are not necessarily exactly the same, but there is definite overlap, huh? 🙂  And those particular identities strongly influence (but do not completely dictate) my choices.  And my outfits.   And my words.  And my puns.  And my music.  And my song lyrics.  And my pictures.  And my jokes.  And my videos.  And my topic/subject matters.  And my posts.  And my entire blog!  And although the Church is merely a vehicle through which to fully live/experience the gospel, it is a vehicle we must help keep clean.

(check out that last General Conference link/ talk:  it’s BOMB! and it is heavily influenced (or even appropriately plagiarized) by the Great Mormon thinker Eugene England.  Also, after my vehicle metaphor, I realized I need to vacuum my car this week…)

Screen shot 2013-08-22 at 2.35.40 PM   (it’s not mine, I googled it…)

“Maybe once a year, I think I’ll clean my car.”

~Gavin Degraw (Listen to this song, too.  SO GOOD!)

So back to the main point of this post.  Just remember this:

Katherine Cares about the Church.

And although I am still pretty new to this whole blogging thing, I am conscious of some of the repercussions I may cause (and am causing!), in whatever small/medium/big (or completely microscopic) way .   Mormonism is my mother tongue, my homeland, and, although I love to travel, when it comes to my faith, I ain’t never leavin!

So hopefully the Church’s image isn’t hurt when I post pictures like this:

Image

And I think now would be an excellent time to remind you that Mormons no longer practice polygamy (if they do, it’s some off-shoot brand that is not recognized by the Brethren), and also that I wrote a smashing article about a girl who was born into a polygamous family, then later joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Check out the published piece of pie!  Oh, and just so you know, Vilate’s story has gotten even wilder.  Like, out of this world crazy.  In a good way, though.  Stay.  Tuned.

Gotta take Taylor Swift’s example and go burn all my bikini pix now.

Screen shot 2013-08-28 at 8.55.35 PM

And for my beloved readers, how clean do YOU keep the image of your church (or family name/affiliation, etc.)  How clean do you keep your literal car?  And which is more important (trick question…)?

Watch this video to find out the ONLY church ttopic

I would ever publicly agitate against:

🙂

Some Mansions

Image

are better than others.

Image           Image

Hugh Hefner is not a hero.  He is a ZERO.  He is not someone to be admired.  He is a sad, ugly old man who has made millions from an industry that has destroyed relationships, lives, jobs, freedom, confidence, health, and happiness.  Total loser, if you ask me.

Plus, his red plush robe only makes him look more like the devil,

And ya’ll know how much I love free speech, but don’t even try to go there with me on this one because I will PULVERIZE every claim you make.  That’s how good I am 🙂  And that’s how bad pornography is.  So let’s hear what real men think of it:

Don’t care about/believe in religion/God/prophets?  This guy doesn’t talk about it:

And neither does this girl:

Pornography is terrible in every way possible!  It’s not sexy.  It’s not hot.  It causes abuse.  It degrades something sacred.  It it highly linked to drug use, depression, crime, and other problems.  Bourne Ultimatum?  I wish we could make it the PORN Ultimatum!  But until then, we just have to try our very best to control ourselves and keep this trash out of our lives in every way possible.  Sound good?  Peeeeeerfect.

🙂

But back to mansions, if we Stay out of the Smut that Satan Spreads, we can party it up at this one!

Image

In my Father’s House are many mansions... I go to prepare a place for you.

~John 14:2

(and for further reading, I also write about chastity/purity/sex/temples here)

PS.  Think I’ve covered all my bases, ya’ll.  And I don’t even play sports.

PPS.  If you are involved in pornography, there is hope, both professional and spiritual.  Keep fightin’

A phrase I do NOT like:

“My body is a temple, and YOU don’t have a recommend.”

Screen shot 2013-08-17 at 11.54.48 AM

Another phrase twist with a specific Mormon flare.  But I ain’t diggin’ this one.  It seems too sexual, too arrogant, too exclusionary (particularly in relation to LDS temples) and too literal.  I believe in chastity, but don’t think we need to talk about it in a suggestive way, know what I’m sayin’?  There’s gotta be a way to express our views on modesty/virtue WITHOUT doing that kind of thing.

The English teacher in me has to ask, “Do you agree.  Why or why not?”

PS.  I suppose this post is a bit hypocritical since I DID write one comparing Mormon temples to sex/chastity.  But it’s more classy, I think 🙂

hey katherine it was really good meeting you yesterday. i didnt have time to read all of your blogs but i did get a chance to read the one about sex and the temple and ill say it did answer alot of my question. i didnt know it was that sacred. ill view more of your blogs when i have more time. you a very talented individual and i hope you succeed in your blogs. hope your day goes well.

Lil Wayne’s Got Nothin’ on Me!

Lil Wayne wanted to know if this girl was down for a sing-off.

Readers, what do you think?

PS.  Wayne, I love and respect you no matter what (not really, but just didn’t want to come off as judgmental and also wanted to soften this next part), BUT your body is a temple…why would you want to put graffiti on it?  Join the LDS Church and I’ll help you pay to get rid of those tats (but readers FYI you don’t have to do that if you want to become a Mormon-just thought I’d clear that up)…

I want to shout it from the rooftop, climb on a mountaintop baby, scream and shout!

I LOVE THIS BLOG SO MUCH!  I want to shout it from the rooftops.  And yes, it does come up in conversations.  But I also don’t want to shove it down anyone’s throat, make it feel like I’m trying to sell something, or hog the conversation.

But the thing is, when it DOES come up, it’s helping me network, help my friends and neighbors with job opportunities, gets me in touch with other musicians and writers, improving my relationships, share what is important to me, learn more about photography/graphics, and overall is making me very VERY happy.

Actually the Best/ Celestial was that kiss, but some things are too sacred to photograph.  Yes I just compared my brief kiss with Andy to the LDS Temple, and yes I am expecting a thunderbolt of blasphemy.

Oh,wanna know more about Celestial/Telestial/Terrestrial?  Check it stat:

What’s in a name?

Katherine slide leaves

Names play a significant role in our lives (especially in THIS girl’s life!)  Furthermore, name changes are an interesting part of our experience.  Let me share for a minute about my own name and it’s journey.

My birth name is Katherine, but when I was very young my family called me Kate.  In 2nd grade, I wanted to go by my original name, and because education often stressed phonetic spelling, it was “Katheren.”  I eventually spelled it the way it was given to me and used this name until the end of high school.  When I first came to BYU, I wanted a new identity.  Not brand spankin’ new, but a way to have somewhat of a fresh start.  I wasn’t a reformed bad girl or anything, but almost anyone can relate to wanting a clean slate when they first leave home.  I told every new person I met that my name was Katie.  Not anything too drastic, but the change was still significant.  But 2 years later, “Katherine” was calling my name again (see what I did there?), and so I used that name and continue to use it to this day.  My name journey was and continues to be very funny at times as some people to this day do not know whether to call me Kate, Katherine, or Katie.  I will respond to all, but 90% of the people in my life call me Katherine, so if in doubt, go with that.

Why does this matter to you?  May I suggest that you ponder your names.  First/last/middle/maiden/nicknames, etc.    What do they mean to you?  To your family?  I have known people who have chosen to take on new names after significant changes, such as religious conversions, therapy, and of course marriage.  Names are a part of our identity, and since we do not choose our own names from birth, there are times when individuals decide to change them on their own.  Deeper parts of the LDS theology reveal the significance of new names for those who desire to become closer to God.  Think about how Saul changed to Paul in the New Testament.  Oh, yah, AND my platonically beloved former counselor went from ______________ to Therapist Zach.  An alias, a pseudonym, but for a good purpose, I’d say.

Last soapbox for the day:  I am open and accepting, but whatever you do, do NOT name your child North West, or something weird like that.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone.

It’s not just those crazy stories about porn addict turns temple president  (We ain’t all Saul-to-Paul or Alma the Younger gets a rude awakening). It’s for people like me: Miss Mormon girl to the max, does everything right and keeps all the rules, and life falls apart at 25.  No matter who you are, no matter your situation, you can rise out of the ashes, find meaning, and be happy.  If you’re interested, you can chat with missionaries here.  Or just email/comment if you wanna talk.  Dead serious.

We know that the story had a happy ending, but at the time the pioneers didn’t necessarily know the outcome.  They were just people of unbelievable faith who were along for the ride and hoping their car wouldn’t crash.  Good thing I wasn’t driving…

Just enough sexual tension to make it interesting…

but not enough to make it inappropriate or uncomfortable.

I am Mormon, woman, and human, and the order of those 3 things sometimes changes.  And I want to be honest but not obscene.  There is nothing on this blog that I wouldn’t want an employer to see.  Or my mom.  There is nothing that I believe could compromise my temple recommend.  And still I bare my soul.  But it seems to be working out okay because I keep getting more and more followers 🙂

It’s incredible….

Just found this video from about 3 years ago.  Watching it was fun.  And funny.  And painful (is there ANYONE who likes his/her own speaking voice?)  But what’s incredible is how much I see myself and all my core beliefs again.  Humor, beauty, kindness, expression, creativity, Christ, understanding.  Not bad.  Even if it wasn’t one of my better hair days 🙂  Now I wanna go find me an apricot!

Is it any wonder?

Screen shot 2013-09-03 at 11.29.49 PM

I love my sista, yes I do.  But some days it’s hard not to be jealous.  Scratch that, ALL days it’s hard not to be jealous.  Now I’m not saying that I don’t have anything going for me, but hermana has a hot husband who could catch fish with his teeth, a great job inserting catheters and stuff like that, and has generally made a very good transition into this adult life.

And me? No husband (yet?).  Not quite set on this whole career thing.  And even though this blog has been a HUGE part of my journey of self-discovery and expression, still sorting out life.

So really.  Is it any wonder (Kat is keen on Keane!) I gave her this look (on her wedding day no less)?

AND my hair didn’t look that cute that day.  Darnie.

Hope for an ugly duckling….

Disclaimer:  The title refers to me!  I would never in a million years call someone else ugly (especially not my dear sister Maizy).  Just ain’t my style 🙂 And I also know I’m not really ugly, either. Enough ado.  Proceed:

If this girl:

can turn into this in a few short years:

then maybe there’s still hope for this girl:

*juxtaposition of beauty and ugliness (is there a euphemism for this word? its kinda mean)

Tie-dyed unmentionables

I have tie-dyed unmentionables.  I did it last summer at Annaliese‘s birthday party.  Everyone else was doing t-shirts and stuff like that, but I wanted to shake things up a little.  No I won’t show you a picture of the finished product!  Just ain’t that kind of girl.  But I will show you this:

A very common sight indeed

My dad reading the Mormon almanac.  ImageYes, you read that right.  Mormons are such a weird cult that they have their own almanac.  Haha, not really.  It just is a book published every year that gives information about new church leaders, new temples, and statistics/demographics and stuff like that.  Just the sort of stuff that gets David’s heart racing and his toes tapping 🙂

An unexpected metaphor

Screen shot 2013-08-25 at 9.15.11 AM

Warning: I am about to make a comparison between 2 things that are seemingly very different and potentially the slightest bit controversial. But just know that in John Donne’s famous poem, “Batter my Heart,” he compares spiritual conversion to sexual violence.  Mine is no where near that bad, and John Donne has been quoted in Mormon General Conference!  (So now that I’ve established my ethos a bit, onward I go!)  The following subject matter is not offensive, obscene, or inappropriate I believe, but it does concern an adult theme.  But it’s all good cuz I’m not worried about Miss Rosemary or Mr. William reading this just yet 🙂

SEX AND TEMPLES
Many people wonder why only certain people go inside Mormon temples.  There have been feelings of exclusion, privilege, secrecy, and us. vs them.  I was born and raised in the church and I struggled with it.  All through Young Women’s I heard, “you’re gonna get married in the temple.  you are the princess.  you will be so beautiful.  TEMPLE MARRIAGE RULES!”  I felt alone, and I thought I couldn’t ask questions or voice my feelings of nervousness, not wanting to do the whole temple experience, etc.  I didn’t buy the whole “sacred, not secret” thing.  I felt like it wasn’t fair that I would have to commit to something that I didn’t know beforehand.  I didn’t want to wear garments.  But I thought:  I CAN’T TALK ABOUT THIS BECAUSE EVERYONE LOVES THE TEMPLE AND THE TEMPLE IS SO AWESOME, ETC. AND WE DON’T TALK ABOUT THE TEMPLE SPECIFICS..so I lived in silent fear, shame.
As I got older I began to understand that it was okay to ask questions, be nervous, have doubts, and my anxiety began to lessen.

Screen shot 2013-09-29 at 7.14.26 PM
2 years ago a Christian friend visited me in Provo.  He asked me questions about the church.  I don’t know if he wanted to join, but he wasn’t antagonistic or trying to prove me wrong or anything.  We walked on temple grounds.  He loved it and took lots of pictures (he was a photographer).  He asked me why only Mormons could go in…..the sometimes dreaded question.  (though again he was earnestly asking; not offended or being antagonistic).  In that moment I had a thought come to my mind that was definitely not my own (at least not completely).  TEMPLES ARE LIKE SEX.  Let’s talk about sex first because that’s the one everyone is interested in.

Screen shot 2013-09-29 at 7.09.39 PM

In Christianity, God says sex is only between 2 people who are married.  It is natural.  It is good.  It is beautiful.  But when you take sex and put it all over the internet or the magazines or the songs, when you pervert and abuse it, it is wrong, it is offensive, sinful, shameful….ETC…when a couple is married, they have sex!  It is not a secret, not shameful or sinful.  And yet it’s not really appropriate to discuss the details with others.  Sex is for people who are commited, responsible, and mature enough to handle it.  To the wrong eyes and in the wrong contexts, it is wrong, but within marriage, it is right.
Screen shot 2013-09-29 at 7.15.54 PM

The temple is like this too!  It is for people who are committed, responsible, and mature enough to handle it.  To the wrong eyes and in the wrong contexts, it is wrong, but within the appropriate boundaries, it is right and awesome and wonderful.  Might be kinda weird the first time or two (like sex), but it grows more meaningful over time.  What goes on is not shameful, but we don’t talk about specifics because it is sacred.

Screen shot 2013-09-29 at 7.12.22 PM

By the way, it must be clarified that there is NOTHING SEXUAL ABOUT THE TEMPLE EXPERIENCE.#ain’t no kinky ceremonies  #just waiting for a thunderbolt for that blasphemy

Since my first time explaining this to my friend, I have used it in certain conversations with about 15 people-Mormon/not Mormon, endowed/not endowed.  And it has gone over REALLY WELL!  They get it.  And by the way, I feel good about knowing when is an appropriate time and place to share this.  Not something I’m gonna say over the pulpit, know what I mean?

I am a virgin in both respects.  Hopefully when my time comes around, it will be rocking, in both respects.  #toomuchinformation?   #idon’tcare

CLOSING THOUGHTS

1)  I invite all people to learn about the LDS temple, and if they choose, to prepare themselves to receive the blessings associated with it.

2)  Similarly, I strongly encourage all people to practice the principle of chastity in keeping with the laws of the Lord.

To your ears, divinity.  To any others, profanation.”

PS.  Dear friends/readers, I kindly remind you that if you ever have questions about anything at all, you can always email me (katherineannewilkinson@gmail.com).  I wish to emphasis that I do not believe in bait-and-switching people into any religion or faith (if you think Mormons are cray-cray, it’s okay!), but if you have inquiries, I am a pretty good reliable source I think 🙂
