is a coward who’s show should burn!
A STERN sonnet about a miserable man
This man is awful.
His “program” filth.
I’ve never watched it.
And never will.
Howard could stand to cut his hair.
Or maybe he should use some Nair.
That would burn his scalp of sin.
Sorry, hope ya’ll know I’m just JOKin’
But seriously words cannot express
How much Stern is a pathetic mess
I HATE that some consider him a star
when he takes freedom of speech WAY. TOO. FAR.
But Howard, wouldn’t it be fun.
If your story turned out like that of the Prodigal Son?
Repentance is real ya’ll; even for the vilest of sinners.
to forgive, divine.
*I like that first video A LOT (although the title is misleading). Also, another BYU athlete was unfortunately involved with a recent infraction of the Honor Code. Similar to Mr. Davies, this athlete is making amends, both spiritually and academically. Read a smashing article about him here.
When I first started my blog, I was too liberal in posting it on friends’ Facebook walls. Don’t hate me too much, I was just excited! 🙂 And don’t worry either; I’m smarter than that now. Still, internet spam is a problem that annoys pretty much everyone at some point or another. And when it comes to my own mistakes, I always take blame when necessary. So beef it up and watch my sincere and meaty apology! You won’t wanna miss it:
(and you know that fork ain’t for nothin…)
Hope ya’ll enjoyed that. Because it wasn’t my favorite thing in the world. So sorry again for spamming. But now:
“Everything has changed!”

Nor does slavery* of any kind need be permanent.
“Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ,
we can proclaim our emancipation from the slavery of trials and sin,
and thus (re)gain the freedom that is rightfully ours.”
Read more here about how I became emancipated from a kind of slavery
through an expression found in a John Mayer song.
1. What things have you enslaved (figuratively or literally)?
2. What ideas, resources, people, awesome blog(s) can be a Christ-figure and help emancipate you (figuratively or literally)?
*Slavery of any and all connotations (but particularly institutionalized racial slavery) is something that makes my heart heavy with pain. Please know that I never intend to be flippant or insensitive concerning these issues (read more here about how racism is absolutely 100% NOT compatible with true Christianity).
Also, I in no way mean to compare myself to Abraham Lincoln or to the Savior. And still I am expecting a thunderbolt of blasphemy…
but let us remember that even he is of divine origin.
Even classy women,
can make BIG mistakes.
and people who make mistakes
can be redeemed.
And even good, strong, beautiful women
don’t always look show-stopping hot in every picture.
Glad we could have that little talk.
There are SOOOO many examples of this, but here are just a few:
1) Kanye West- (um, Taylor Swift incident, anyone?)
2) Eminem (If CNN has a top 10, that’s pretty bad Marshall)
3) John Mayer (You know I love you Johnny, but don’t be spilling your secrets about women! Plus, chastity is where it’s at, anyways.)
And countless, countless others. These people are often UNBELIEVABLY GIFTED, but when they get brought up in conversation, unfortunately that all often just gets forgotten because of mistakes they’ve made.
Just one more reason to keep my clothes modest. That and I haven’t hit the gym in a while.
PS. I do believe in repentance and redemption. I do.
