LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson often warns of this temptation
See that ye bridle all your passions
1) How do these simple and profound truths relate to you?
2) How can you make sure that you stay in control of your passions so that you can reach your dreams?
Jesus Christ had his hell in Gethsemane, Joseph Smith had his dark place in the Sacred Grove, and I had my rough (garden) patch as well.
But all 3 of us pulled through to see the light.
I usually don’t like to state the obvious:
but I just wanna be very clear here:
If you are experiencing trials, take a lesson from these 3 people:
Although gardening is great and black and white photos can be very beautiful, you want your life to be in Color and NOT in some Secret Grove of Golgotha.
AND IT CAN BE!
Yes I am aware that I just compared myself to the Savior of the World and the Prophet of the Restoration. And yes, I am expecting a thunderbolt of blasphemy any minute now…
Not gonna lie I’m pretty proud of this one, ya’ll…
I do not think that anymore.
Still support the LDS Church’s stance on marriage 🙂
Still believe others should as well…
but I can still be a vessel of truth and point others toward it. So can you.
and I’m going to the temple this week 🙂
I may be a sloth, but I ain’t no slothful servant, ya’ll!
Yes I’d be okay with President Monson reading this. And yes, I do also enjoy coffee lip-balm.
