Lyrics here (these profound words have brought me closer to Christ. TRULY!)
They (Bono and his boys) also have quite a few really weird songs…
Saw U2 in concert on May 24, 2011. ONE OF THE BEST NIGHTS OF MY LIFE!
*if you don’t listen to that first song, you are crazy as the second song is…
And now I’m about to say something that
I often wish I could
shout fiddle from the rooftops.
Are you listening?
Okay, here I go:
“I DON’T ANSWER TO ANYBODY,
AND IT’S A LOVELY, LOVELY FEELING!”
There are of course limits to this philosophy, because I do represent Christ,
I believe that women can be sexy,
but also ought to maintain class and (line of) propriety,
and also I am a role model.
But still “I do what I want!”
Katherine, get back to John Mayer…
Read more here about the concert that LITERALLY(!) changed my life…
(more to come on Johnny’s brilliant monologue/idea)
And now Lightn’ing strikes for that thunderbolt of blasphemy
for comparing myself to one of the greatest guitarists/poets of all time…
But allow me to quote from him once again:
“I LOOK GOOD CUZ I FEEL GOOD!”
4 John Mayer lyrics/links/quotations in one post. Excellent job, sweet self…
Oh, yah, not only do KW and JM share fashion blunders, we also share writing blunders. Check it out here.
PS. Even if your outfits are occasionally a little whacky, you can still be as cool as me.
“It’s true. It’s true. I choose you! (says Sara Bareilles).
To have an awesome day!
Go fall in love.
Go change the world.
Go help an old lady move.
Go help her carry her groceries.
Go clean your car, (that’s what I need to do).
I need to go do my hair, and a few other things…
I. Choose. You.
Yes they do! These boys are the REAL DEAL. Ain’t no sell-outs wearing cowboy hats singing with some ugly fake twang (I ain’t naming names, but ya’ll know who I’m talkin’ ’bout) . Expect to hear more about ZBB on this blog. The night I saw them in concert with Renae was one that has influenced me to this day. Don’t know where to start musically because it’s ALL amazing, but here’s an all-time favorite:
(best part is 3:00-3:30)
Seriously, that voice gives me chills, and it’s even BETTER in person.
Great memories 🙂 Of the concert, and also of my hair looking that beautiful.
but this is definitely in the top 3.
The whole thing is AMAZING, but if I had to pick one or two lines to highlight, it would be this:
So when you start feeling like the world’s coming down on you, and that somebody feels like you’re not good enough or smart enough or thin enough, and that’s getting sent to you, like a psychic getting sent to ya, like a pyschic getting sent to ya, just ask for names. And guess what? There are no names. It’s all just fog, it’s all just a made up fog in a hall of mirrors, it’s all garbage, it doesn’t exist, so just do away with all that negative energy; it doesn’t even exist, it’s not even real….when people see other people having a good time and not questioning it, they just like to bring it all down, ya know. “I WANT NAMES!” from now on. And let me tell you something. I’ve been through my life, and I got bumped, and I got bruised, and I got kicked to the ground., but I never actually got a name the whole time. And therefore, I disregard all of it, and assume that I am loved the world round.
Whoops, guess that was a few more than 2 lines. If it’s all meat, you can’t cut any out!
That’s a true man right there.
Andy, no wonder I haven’t forgotten about that kiss that rocked my world…
1) How do YOU react to TWSS jokes (or even opportunities to make them yourself)?
2) Would you follow Elder Christofferson’s advice and be as awesome as Mr. Grammer was?
*And just so you know, whoever kisses Ms. Katherine has to be just as cool in this regard…
Actually the Best/ Celestial was that kiss, but some things are too sacred to photograph. Yes I just compared my brief kiss with Andy to the LDS Temple, and yes I am expecting a thunderbolt of blasphemy.
Oh,wanna know more about Celestial/Telestial/Terrestrial? Check it stat:

I just remind myself that the
The following song is of course not Mormon, but I adore it as it speaks in eloquent Biblical poetry (written by Bob Dylan!) of Christ, hope, salvation, redemption, and joy. Also, the song itself is in no way sacrificed at the expense of quality music. In other words, the lyrics don’t stand alone (this is very, very important to me)! Listen to it please:
Oh yeah, and I quasi-worship the singer.
Oh, ring them bells for the blind and the deaf
Oh, ring them bells for all of us who are left
Oh, ring them bells for the chosen few
Who will judge the many when the game is through…
So yes, I feel at peace with this song (and some select others as well) on Sundays,
although it is not standardized in the LDS hymnbook.
If thou are merry, praise the Lord with singing, with music, with dancing, and with a prayer of Thanksgiving.
Just so you know, I am cautious about this line of propriety. I (usually) don’t perform on Sundays, and I also am not going to any Marilyn Manson concerts on Sunday (or ever). Furthermore, I am careful in helping my friends and neighbors feel comfortable with the sweet melodies I play and the words that spill from my honey lips.
What kind of music do you find (in)appropriate for Sabbath worship?
Ring them bells St. [K]atherine from the top of the room…
I love colors. And I love dressing to IMpress, as well as EXpress.
But I want people to see and remember not just my clothes, but also ME and my natural beauty (enhanced a little with makeup and occasionally fake lashes). And when you wear a lot of bright things that stand out, there can be too many things to look at. So maybe if I wanna wear a bright color, I should just stick to one.
nowadays when people ask me “what are your hopes and dreams for the future? I NO LONGER have to say, “Hopes and dreams for the future? I just hope I don’t crash my car on the way to the grocery store tomorrow!”
My full answer remains to be seen. But you can bet it’ll be a good one 🙂
(and that’s me and Ryan Shupe btw, he’s the titular singer of the above song)

I am a better singer than Taylor Swift (whom I absolutely ADORE by the way), and my guitar skills are prob about the same if not better. Other than the whole song-writing thing (I merely dabble while girlfriend churns out hit after hit), why am I not selling out world tours? Taylor rocks it to millions……..
and Katherine just sits in the woods and plays to the trees 🙂
#kinda kidding, kinda not…
#couldn’t we have photoshopped out that weed so you could see my fingers better?
#I still wanna share a stage with Natasha Bedingfield…

My life and my purpose. Is it all worth it? You are gonna turn out fine.
BUT YOU GOTTA KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!
Moments after this picture was taken Andy kissed me! Partial lip/partial cheek kiss, but a kiss indeed. And oh what a kiss it was. I swore I’d never publicly divulge that information because I didn’t want to exploit Andy for his fame and envisioned an actual romantic future with him, but brother got himself a wife, that ship has sailed, a now cat’s outta the bag! And yes, my sister can be a witness in court….
