Ambivalent feelings toward fame and recognition

is a theme that good artists often explore.  As I see myself becoming a famous writer in the future (truth in jest), I imagine I will have to give this idea some thought.  Haha, but whether or not I ever get a single hit again, I find this a fascinating topic.  So for now, let’s just hear what Miss Natasha has to say about it.  And it’s hard for lyrics to stand out when they’re all good, but here are some notable ones:

“thirsty in a desert with a bag full of gold,

what I thought was precious was just a pile of stones”

Working Title

I am having title troubles.   Although it’s been in utero for about 25 years, this blog is fairly new in its genesis.  We’re talking 8 days old.  So I didn’t take a ton of time working on the name.  The title as stands is not useless.  Quite the opposite.  It is taken from the Natasha song, “Cheer Me Up.”

Problem is, it seems a bit trite.  Like the title of the blog of some newlyweds who haven’t quite left the honeymoon phase yet.  So part of me wants to change it.  But part of me wants to keep it because of it’s lyrical significance.  And that one small chance that I can meet Natasha some day.  And maybe?  Dare I even think it?  Share a stage with her….

I want a part of it.

Even just a little bit.

Accidental Ombre

miley+cyrus+ombre

Hey Miley!  Your hair looks…interesting.  I sported a similar look once, and I can guarantee I spent less money than you:

#mixed feelings about ombres, particularly because I do not know exactly how to pronounce them

#I may have an ombre, but what I really want is an HOMBRE!

#too lazy and cheap to get your roots retouched?  just pass it off as the latest hair fad!
