Intellectual Property: Matter Unorganized (a poem)

Intellectual property
Lines aren’t always drawn clearly
What can I claim is mine to create?
Where did ideas originate?

If I learn something new, am I free to sell it?
(When someone’s been genius, hard not to be jealous)
If I lay some stake, will somebody sue?
How much do you give credit? Is it even due?

Influences are an amalgamation
Lessons, mistakes reach a culmination
But pure creativity is some kind of myth
True originality doesn’t exist!
🙂
