“[I]n me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
-John 16:33
…
Desperate for peace, desperate for sleep
Desperate for clean, desperate for me
Too much on my mind, too much on my plate
I’m struggling to carry this ponderous weight
…
It’s the best of times in this heart of mine
But the stress of mind is the worst of times
I’m just a child and cannot bear it all yet
But as the tide rises, don’t ever forget
…
Though in this world I’ll have tribulation
Be of good cheer; there’s cause for celebration
When I’m powerless, tired, and so overwhelmed
I’ll lift my eyes to Him who’s at the helm
…
Trust in Christ with all my strength, might, and mind
when there’s nothing left to give
And when my fragile heart gets torn apart,
I’ll look to God and live
…
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye are little children…and cannot bear all things now; nevertheless, be of good cheer, for I will lead you along.”
-Doctrine & Covenants 78:17-18
