Allow me to put a twist on a famous line from Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” to describe the tough transition that many millennials face:
“The course between education and career never ran smooth.”
Think about that.
It’s not an easy switch between the two. College students often have a difficult and frustrating experience with this (sometimes) harsh reality after graduation. And speaking of experience, that’s what it’s all about! Yes, grades are important, but in order to score that killer job and begin to carve out a fulfilling successful career for yourself, it’s all about experience. And networking. And research. And the tireless pursuit of learning and bettering yourself.
