“Slow down, Katherine!” (a poem)

Screen shot 2014-12-14 at 6.32.34 PM

My busy brain is tired
Too many irons in the fire
Think it’s time to slow the pace
Don’t always have to win the race

Feels like I’ll bend until I break
Can’t run faster than I have strength
There’s a big, wide world I want to win
But I might be burning out again

Human limitations
can cause me great frustration
I’d work for one hundred years,
but the physical interferes

But Jesus rested on the seventh day,
so if I slow it down, I think I’ll be okay. 🙂

“If life and its rushed pace and many stresses have made it difficult for you to feel like rejoicing, then perhaps now is a good time to refocus on what matters most.”

    -Dieter Uchtdorf

Slow down, girl!
