The (un) equilibrium of insults and compliments.

Why is it that insults come more easily and smooth,

than sincere compliments ever seem to do?

Not a passive-aggressive statement to my friends,

Just an observation of timeless trends.

I’ve said my sorries, and cleaned my slate

But still some may choose to see only bad traits

I hold no ill will, have no one to blame

But now, I ask, can you say the same?
