Just watch it, okay? 🙂
(and don’t say you don’t have 10 minutes; You ARE reading this blog, after all!)
In April 2012 I attended a seminar put on by the Sociology department at BYU concerning these same issues. It wasn’t about marriage/ legal stuff at all. It was just about what it is like to be gay/ lesbian/ bisexual, but still abide by the laws of God and the precepts of the Honor Code.
There is LOTS to say about the seminar, and I hate to try to “sum up” an event that was very complex, very classy, and very important. But for now I’ll simply express that I was incredibly inspired by the bravery of not only the 4 panel members (who each told his/her individual story with honesty, tact, and vulnerability), but also by everyone who in any way experiences same-gender attraction, particularly if they choose to abide by the standards of the LDS Church.
Thank you.
God loves you.
I do too.
